Builder's Bloc Shows It's "Metal" On SpringHill Suites Project

On June 18th Builder's Bloc and Worthington Mid-Rise Construction Company based in Ohio started construction on a six-story  panelized metal stud hotel in St. Louis County. SpringHill Suites is located on Hanley Road just south of Highway 40.  Steve Blankenship, Builder's Bloc superintendent, and Jeff Sagez, Builder's Bloc senior foreman, are leading this team along with 25 additional carpenters.  

Alan Baremore and Ken Huellinghoff are managing the wall crews for Jeff and Steve as the team strives to meet or better the ten week construction schedule.  This job site has an interesting staging area and is utilizing two tower cranes being operated from the subfloors.  This is a new operating procedure for our company and has required additional safety precautions.  Thanks to Bob Walsh and the rest of the team, a special safety plan has been established with tremendous focus on keeping our team safe. 

This project has opened the door for future metal stud commercial construction in the St. Louis Metro area.  Worthington Mid-Rise Construction Company and Builder's Bloc are planning additional work together in the Midwest.
