Summer in St. Louis - Work, Work, and more Work!
Its summer in St. Louis - and that means work and plenty of it. Here are some of the projects recently completed, in process, or about to start: Hanley Station, Justus Pointe, Chestnut Mainstay, Westmeade, Richardson Glen, Southernside Apartments, Compton Gate, Villas at Oak Bend, Bridgewater Cove and Chestnut Maryville Expansion.
These projects are in addition to a large amount of work that is being performed for McBride and Son Homes and Vantage Homes. Builder’s Bloc currently employs over 1000 skilled craftsmen working for the carpentry, foundations, flatwork, drywall and roofing divisions.
Several other projects are in the negotiating process and should be added to the “got job” category in the near future. It may be summer now, but winter is on the way and Builder’s Bloc is always looking for new customers and new projects.
Builder’s Bloc appreciates everyone’s effort in making this work possible. It takes quality, on-time performance on existing jobs to earn the right to bid new work. It is also very important to do the best possible work and provide maximum customer service on small or large jobs. Each is important to the customer and Builder’s Bloc is not only building structures, but also building relationships.

Builder’s Bloc carpenters started work at Fort Leonard Wood last summer. Approximately 60 units have built so far this year with additional units in the foundation stage. There is a potential to build 200 more units each year for the next nine years. The future phases will have to be competitively bid, but all parties involved are very optimistic.
This housing project at Fort Leonard Wood started out as a stick-built project and is now being built as a panelized job. Builder’s Bloc carpenters proficient in both types of construction are up to the task. Mike Bone, senior carpentry foreman, is the lead man on this phase. Steve Blakenship, carpentry superintendent, is very pleased with project. His goal is to expand the Builder’s Bloc scope of work to include more divisions.
